Wet Cupping Hijama in Bradford
A calm, considered wet-cupping appointment with consultation, sterile single-use equipment and clear aftercare at our private Bradford clinic.
Tradition, approached with care.
Wet cupping, commonly known as Hijama, begins with controlled suction. Small superficial openings are then made in the skin before the cups are briefly reapplied.
Because wet cupping intentionally opens the skin, consultation, hygiene and aftercare are central to the appointment. Sterile single-use equipment is used, and the process is explained before treatment begins.
Hijama is offered as a complementary wellbeing practice. It is not presented as a replacement for medical diagnosis or treatment.
You understand the process before deciding to continue.
Relevant health information and suitability are discussed.
The session moves calmly, with consent throughout.

Clear answers,
before you decide.
If something is not covered here, you can contact Redwood before making a booking.
Wet Cupping Hijama is a traditional practice in which suction is applied before small, superficial openings are made in the skin. Cups are then reapplied for a short period. Redwood uses sterile, single-use equipment and includes consultation and aftercare.
Dry cupping uses suction without intentionally opening the skin. Wet cupping includes small superficial skin openings, so it requires additional hygiene, preparation and aftercare.
Sensations vary. You may feel pressure from the suction and brief discomfort during the wet-cupping stage. The process is explained before it begins and you can ask to pause at any point.
Temporary circular marks and small healing points can remain after a session. Their appearance and healing time vary, and you will receive aftercare guidance before leaving.
Suitability is assessed individually during consultation. You should disclose relevant medical conditions, medication, pregnancy, skin concerns, and any bleeding or healing issues. The appointment may be adapted, postponed or declined where appropriate.
Fire cupping can be added for £5 when it is suitable and requested. This is discussed during the consultation before treatment begins.
