Appointments & Booking

How to contact Redwood, choose a treatment and manage an appointment.

How do I book an appointment?

Redwood is currently taking bookings through WhatsApp. Use any Book Now button on the website and send us a message; we can then discuss what you are looking for and the next available appointment times.

Do I need to know which treatment I want before I book?

No. If you are unsure, tell us what you would like help with and we can explain the available options. Treatment suitability is still confirmed through consultation and assessment rather than chosen from a website description alone.

Can I ask a question before booking?

Yes. WhatsApp is the quickest way to ask a question about treatments, availability or whether a particular Redwood session may be appropriate to discuss further.

How do I change or cancel an appointment?

Message Redwood on WhatsApp as soon as you know that you need to change an appointment. Our formal appointment and cancellation terms will always take priority where they apply.

Treatments & Services

A quick explanation of the different Redwood treatment options.

What treatments does Redwood offer?

Redwood currently offers Sports Massage, Dry or Fire Cupping, Wet Cupping Hijama, Sports Massage + Cupping, the Redwood Performance Session and the Redwood Gold Recovery Package.

Is sports massage only for athletes?

No. Redwood Sports Massage is a targeted hands-on treatment for muscular tension, movement support and recovery. You do not need to compete in sport to discuss whether it is suitable for you.

What is the difference between dry, fire and wet cupping?

Dry and fire cupping use suction without making openings in the skin. Wet Cupping Hijama is different because it includes small superficial openings in the skin as part of the treatment. The method used is discussed according to the session, your goals and suitability.

What is Wet Cupping Hijama at Redwood?

Wet Cupping Hijama is a traditional wet-cupping treatment carried out with consultation, sterile single-use equipment and aftercare. Because it involves the skin, preparation and aftercare are particularly important.

Can different treatment techniques be combined?

Yes, where appropriate. Redwood has dedicated combined options such as Sports Massage + Cupping, and the Performance and Gold sessions can use more than one treatment approach according to assessment and suitability.

Can I add fire cupping to Wet Cupping Hijama?

Yes. Fire cupping can be added to a Wet Cupping Hijama appointment for an additional £5 when requested and considered suitable.

How much do Redwood treatments cost?

Sports Massage — £50 (60 minutes) • Dry or Fire Cupping — £35 (30–45 minutes) • Wet Cupping Hijama — £45 (45–60 minutes); Optional Fire Cupping +£5 where requested and suitable • Massage + Cupping — £65 (75 minutes) • Performance Session — £75 (90 minutes) • Gold Recovery Package — £95 (Up to 120 minutes).

Why do appointments have different durations?

Each service is designed around a different amount of treatment, consultation and assessment time. More comprehensive combined sessions reserve longer appointments so the session does not need to be rushed.

Arrive prepared

Before Your Appointment

Practical reminders before you come to the Bradford clinic.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing and consider which area may need to be assessed or treated. Your practitioner will explain what access is needed and maintain appropriate privacy and draping during hands-on treatment.

Do I need to fast, detox or follow a special routine before treatment?

The website does not recommend a one-size-fits-all fasting or detox routine. Follow any personalised preparation advice you have been given and otherwise keep your normal food and hydration routine sensible.

What information should I tell the practitioner before treatment?

Tell the practitioner about relevant health conditions, current medication, recent injuries or procedures, pregnancy, skin concerns and anything else that could affect treatment suitability. If you are unsure whether something matters, mention it.

What happens at the start of an appointment?

Redwood appointments begin with consultation and assessment. The aim is to understand what you want from the session, identify relevant areas and decide which treatment approach is appropriate rather than automatically following a fixed routine.

After your session

Aftercare & Recovery

What you may notice afterwards and where to find treatment-specific reminders.

Is some tenderness normal after sports massage?

Temporary tenderness or increased awareness of a treated area can occur. How you respond is individual, so follow the personalised guidance given during your appointment and contact Redwood if you are concerned about an unexpected response.

Can cupping leave marks?

Yes. Circular marks or temporary colour changes can occur after cupping and may remain visible for several days. Avoid scratching or aggressively scrubbing a sensitive area and follow any treatment-specific aftercare advice.

Can I train or exercise after treatment?

There is no single rule that suits every treatment or every person. Let comfort, the treatment you received and the advice given during your appointment guide your return to training or strenuous activity.

Is there an aftercare guide I can keep?

Yes. The Aftercare & Recovery Advice page includes a downloadable Redwood guide with general reminders and separate sections for each treatment type. Personalised advice from your appointment takes priority over the general guide.

Treatment comes after assessment

Suitability & Health Information

Questions where individual circumstances matter more than a generic website answer.

Can I have treatment if I take medication or have a medical condition?

Possibly, but this cannot be answered safely as a blanket yes or no. Tell Redwood about relevant medical conditions and medication before treatment so suitability can be considered during consultation and assessment.

Can I have treatment if I am pregnant?

Pregnancy should be disclosed before treatment. Whether a particular treatment is appropriate depends on the individual circumstances and should be discussed before proceeding.

What if I am unwell or have a skin problem on the day?

Contact Redwood before attending if you are unwell, have an active skin concern in the proposed treatment area or anything has changed since booking. It may be better to discuss or rearrange the appointment rather than guess.

Can Redwood diagnose an injury or replace medical care?

No. Redwood provides performance and recovery treatments, not emergency care or medical diagnosis. Severe, sudden, worsening or unexplained symptoms should be assessed by an appropriate medical professional.

Still not sure?

Your question can be
specific to you.

If the answer depends on your symptoms, health, medication, treatment history or what you want from the session, send Redwood a message instead of trying to force a generic FAQ to fit.
