Control & transparency
Cookie Policy
What cookies and similar technologies Redwood uses, why we use them, and how you can control optional analytics and advertising at any time.
The short version
Optional tracking stays off until you choose.
Redwood uses a necessary cookie to remember the privacy choice you make. Analytics and advertising technologies are treated as optional by this website and are blocked until you allow the relevant category. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from browsing the website, contacting Redwood or booking a treatment.
Understanding the technology
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your device by a website or related service. Similar technologies can include pixels, browser storage, scripts and tags. They can support essential website functions, remember choices, produce website statistics or measure advertising performance.
UK rules apply not only to traditional cookies but also to other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device.
Redwood consent manager
How your choice works
On your first visit, Redwood presents clear options to Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences. Analytics and advertising are off unless you actively allow them.
Your preference is stored for up to 180 days in the necessary rpt_cookie_consent cookie. We may ask again sooner if our tracking setup or consent categories materially change.
Category
Necessary
Necessary technologies support core website operation, security and your privacy controls. They are not used by Redwood for advertising.
| Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
rpt_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you allowed or rejected Redwood's optional cookie categories. | Up to 180 days |
| WordPress / hosting security | WordPress, Krystal Hosting or security controls may use strictly necessary technologies where needed to deliver, secure or administer the site. | Depends on the function |

Analytics
When you allow Analytics, Redwood may use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand website traffic, page performance, navigation and interactions. This helps us improve the website and understand which information visitors find useful.
Although UK law now contains a narrow statistical-purpose exception for some low-risk analytics configurations, Redwood's current consent manager takes the more privacy-protective approach of keeping this category off until you choose to allow it.
Common first-party identifiers can include _ga and _ga_<id>. Exact identifiers and durations can change as Google updates its technology.
Common identifiers can include _clck and _clsk. Clarity may provide interaction and session-level insights, so Redwood requires consent before it is activated.
Category
Advertising
When you allow Advertising, Redwood may use Google Ads conversion tracking and Meta Pixel to measure whether an advert resulted in a website visit or action and to understand campaign performance.
Advertising and conversion tracking remains off unless you consent. Redwood does not provide health or treatment records to Google, Meta or Microsoft for advertising purposes.
May use identifiers such as _gcl_au and related Google advertising storage when enabled.
May use identifiers such as _fbp and, where applicable, _fbc when enabled.
Third-party technology
Providers we currently use
When the relevant optional category is enabled, information produced by these technologies may be processed by the provider as well as Redwood. Their services, cookie names and retention periods can change, so their own privacy information provides the most current provider-level detail.
If a Google Tag Manager container is present, Redwood treats it as Advertising by default because a tag manager can deploy multiple technologies and purposes. This prevents a mixed-purpose container from bypassing your advertising choice.
Future website features
Embedded services and online booking
Redwood does not currently rely on embedded maps, video players, social-media feeds or a third-party online booking widget on the website. We expect online booking functionality to be introduced in future.
If a future feature uses non-essential storage or tracking — for example Google Maps, YouTube/Vimeo, social embeds, reCAPTCHA, Calendly or another booking service — we will assess the technology, update this policy where appropriate and place non-essential functionality behind the relevant consent control before enabling it.
You remain in control
Change, withdraw or delete your choice
You can change Redwood's optional cookie categories whenever you want. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant Redwood tracking from loading on future page views. The consent manager also removes common first-party analytics or advertising identifiers it can access when you turn a category off.
Your browser also lets you view, block or delete cookies. Browser-level controls may remove the Redwood consent cookie too, in which case we will ask for your preferences again on a later visit.
Personal information
Cookies and your privacy
Where information collected through cookies or similar technologies is personal data, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 may also apply. Our Privacy Policy explains how Redwood handles website information, our lawful bases, data sharing, international processing and your rights.
